Discount Kit Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Discount Kit Affiliate Program! These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your participation as an affiliate (“Affiliate”, “you”, or “your”) in promoting Discount Kit (“we”, “our”, or “us”), a Shopify app available in the Shopify App Store.

By participating in the Affiliate Program, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable legal requirements. The Program is operated directly by Optizio Ltd.

1. Program Overview

The Discount Kit Affiliate Program pays approved existing partners commission on their qualifying merchant referrals. Existing referrals and their associated financial history are managed by Optizio.

At this stage, the Program is not accepting new affiliate registrations or issuing new referral links. The Optizio partner portal is a read-only service for existing affiliates to view their referrals, commissions, balances, and payments.

Commissions

Commission is 20% of qualifying net app revenue received from Shopify, after Shopify fees.
Qualifying existing referrals earn commission for their lifetime, with no fixed earning period.
Subscription cancellation, uninstall, freeze, or reinstall does not by itself end an existing referral’s attribution. Commission accrues when the referred merchant makes qualifying payments.
Merchant refunds do not reduce affiliate earnings or balances.

Payments

Eligible unpaid earnings are reviewed monthly, through the end of the previous month, including amounts carried forward from earlier months.
Payments are made when eligible unpaid earnings exceed $50 USD, subject to valid payment details and any payment holds or unresolved financial issues.
Smaller balances carry forward. Eligible balances are consolidated across participating Optizio app programs.
Payments are processed manually. The portal displays recorded payment status and history; it does not offer payout requests.
A payment hold pauses payment, not commission accrual or existing lifetime referral rights.

2. Eligibility

To participate, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be legally able to enter into signed agreements.
Have an existing approved affiliate account with Optizio.

We may suspend participation at our sole discretion, including for non-compliance with this Agreement. Suspension does not by itself cancel accrued obligations or existing lifetime referral rights. New registrations are not currently available.

3. Compliance with Shopify’s Partner Terms

All affiliates must comply with the Shopify Partner Program Agreement. Key requirements include:

No misrepresentation of your relationship with Shopify or Discount Kit.
No deceptive claims or spam.
No use of Shopify/Discount Kit branding beyond approved materials.

4. Promotion Guidelines

Permitted channels:

Websites, blogs, social media, newsletters.

Prohibited activities:

Bidding on branded keywords (e.g., “Discount Kit”, “Shopify”).
Spamming or misleading claims.
Unauthorized modification of promotional materials.

5. Intellectual Property

You are granted a limited, revocable license to use Discount Kit branding only for referral purposes.

Do not modify assets without permission.
Do not imply ownership of Discount Kit’s IP.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate participation in this Agreement at any time by contacting the other party by email. Termination does not by itself cancel accrued payment obligations or existing lifetime referral rights.

7. Your Personal Data

Optizio Ltd is the data controller for personal data you provide in connection with the Affiliate Program. We process your name, contact details, referral activity, and payout information for the purpose of operating the Program and paying commissions. The lawful basis is the performance of this Agreement.

We use Cloudflare to host the partner portal, store Program records, and send transactional login emails. Our payment provider processes the information needed to remit commissions. We retain Program data for the duration of your participation and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep financial records.

Portal access is limited to existing affiliate accounts. Login uses a time-limited email link sent to the account’s provisioned login address. Contact us if you need to change that address.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@optiz.io. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
